Letters from Allan
A letter from my little corner of Denmark.
The internet moves quickly.
Videos are watched. Posts disappear. Before long they're buried beneath whatever came next.
Over the past few years I've often found myself wishing for something a little slower.
Something you can hold in your hands.
Something that waits patiently on the kitchen table until there's time to make a cup of coffee and sit down for ten quiet minutes.
That's why I created Letters from Allan.
Once a month, last Thursday of the month, I'll send a letter from my little corner of Denmark.
Stories from the house, the garden, the projects, Alvar, the changing seasons, and whatever has been on my mind lately.
Nothing rushed.
Nothing polished.
Just an honest letter.
What you'll receive
Every month you'll find a letter waiting in your mailbox.
Inside you'll discover things that don't always find their way into a YouTube video.
Perhaps I've finally finished restoring an old window.
Perhaps the tomatoes have begun to ripen in the greenhouse.
Perhaps I've spent an afternoon at a flea market and come home with something I definitely didn't need.
Sometimes there might be a favourite recipe.
A book I've been enjoying.
A sketch.
A special postcard.
Or simply a story that felt worth sharing.
Every letter is different, just like the seasons.
What it isn't
This isn't a newsletter.
There won't be announcements, marketing emails or endless updates.
It isn't exclusive content designed to make anyone feel they're missing out.
It's simply a letter.
One thoughtful pause each month.
Read it whenever you have ten quiet minutes and a cup of coffee.
Why a letter?
There's something special about receiving real post.
You open the envelope.
You unfold the pages.
You slow down, almost without noticing.
My hope is that these letters become something you keep on a bookshelf, tuck inside a favourite book, or rediscover years from now.
A small note
These letters are written for everyone who receives them.
They're not individually written, but every word comes from me and reflects whatever life has looked like that month.
Think of them as pages from my notebook that I've decided to share.
I'd be delighted to write to you.
Join Letters from Allan
One letter each month, shipped at the end of the month.
Posted from Denmark. Allow at least up to 20 days to receive your letter depending on where in the world you live.
Delivered to your mailbox, wherever you are.
I'm still building this little project, so I don't yet have a subscription system in place.
If you'd like to receive the letters for several months, simply add the number of letters you'd like to your basket (for example, 6 letters for the next 6 months or 12 letters for the year).
You'll only need to order once, and I'll make sure a new letter finds its way to your mailbox each month.
Thank you for your patience while I get everything up and running.
